Viscose

regenerated

Also known as: Rayon, Kunstseide, Viscose, Вискоза

Semi-synthetic fibre from wood pulp. Soft, breathable and drapes beautifully.

About Viscose

Viscose (also called rayon) is a semi-synthetic fibre made from regenerated cellulose, typically derived from wood pulp (eucalyptus, beech, pine). It was developed in the late 19th century as an affordable alternative to silk. Viscose has a soft, smooth texture, excellent drape, and breathability similar to natural fibres. However, its production involves chemical processing that can be environmentally problematic if not managed responsibly.
